These beautiful designs are based on original drawings by architect and designer Owen Jones (1809–74) for the Moresque section of his ground-breaking publication 'The Grammar of Ornament', the original draft of which is held in the V&A collection.
It documents his many years studying The Alhambra in Granada, Spain where you can still, to this day, see the original, +600 year old, versions of our Mina & Omar tiles on the walls.
